How it works

What
it costs.

Nobody in this industry publishes prices. We will at least tell you what the price is made of.

Almost nobody in this industry publishes anything about price. We think that mostly wastes your time and ours, so here is what actually drives the number.

What a price is built from

  • SignalsHow many cameras, alarm zones or monitored points come to us, and how often they are likely to produce something that needs assessing.
  • HoursWhether the site is watched around the clock or only outside its own working hours. A site that is occupied twelve hours a day costs less to watch than one that is never occupied at all.
  • DetectionWhether cameras carry analytics — detection lines and movement rules — or simply record. Analytics cost more to set up and less to run, because they generate far fewer activations that turn out to be nothing.
  • ResponseWhether an activation brings a keyholder of yours, our own response team, or a guarding partner. Where your site sits relative to our own bases changes this, and so does the response time you need.
  • The ladderHow many contacts are on it and how much out-of-hours work it implies. A three-name ladder behaves very differently from a twelve-name one.
  • DurationA permanent installation, a temporary system for a construction phase, or cover for a defined risk period. Temporary does not automatically mean cheaper — the setup is the same work.
  • SitesA portfolio is not simply one site multiplied. Each site needs its own profile and its own ladder, and that is where the work is.

What it is not built from

Not the value of what is on the site. A yard with fifty thousand pounds of plant on it and a yard with five hundred thousand cost the same to watch if they have the same cameras, the same hours and the same ladder. What is at stake changes how much the monitoring is worth to you; it does not change what it costs us to do.

Where monitoring is not the answer

Sometimes it is not. A site with no usable camera coverage and no realistic response route is not made safer by somebody watching it from Lincolnshire, and we would rather say so than sell you something that will disappoint you. If a better answer is a fence, a light or an installer, we will tell you that.

Indicative figures are not published here yet.

We would rather give you a number we can stand behind for your site than a headline figure that turns out not to apply. Send us the site and we will come back with a real one — there is no charge for that, and no obligation attached to it.
